Venezuela land reform criticised - 28 Dec 09
Hugo Chavez, the Venezuelan president, has made agrarian reforms involving redistribution of land a key part of his socialist agenda.
Over the past eight years, his government has taken property from wealthy ranchers and given it to the poor.
But critics say the reform discourages investment and production and has led to a spike in imports.
Al Jazeera's Lucia Newman reports from the state of Barinas.
